So I haven't really updated this in a while, so here goes....

Had some much needed few days off from work, so decided to drive to the beach after I got out of work on Sunday to do some surfing, and relaxing. And that's exactly what I did. Found a good spot basically on the beach, parked my van and that was my home for a few days.. Surprisingly nobody hassled me for being parked and sleeping there either which was awesome! Felt amazing to fall asleep to the sound of waves breaking, and would've been even better to wake up and see the ocean outside my slider door, but the fog was thick. Guess thats what its like at 6 am. Went down to the beach rocks and looked for crabs or any cool ocean debris until the fog cleared, then did some surfing until the crowds rolled into the beach. Saw fireworks up and down the beach in every direction as far as the eyes could see which was rad! Best part was I got to do it all over again today. But now back to the grind tomorrow and looking for the next adventure. Can't wait. Surfing is my new love!

Born Free 2011

Van Interior Stripped Down and Naked!

So the sun is out today here in MA and figured I'd take advantage and strip down the interior to bare bones. The tacky wood paneling had to go, as well as the stiff foam insulation boards, leaving a foam snowy mess everywhere. Also ripped out a bunch of wiring that was just left cut and hanging behind the board that lead to nowhere. But at least now I got a bunch of wire if needed, especially when I go get my stereo system. Well anyways figured I'd share with you guys a little progress on my Van. Still gotta fix an exhaust leak and minor oil pan leak.

Air Horn Installed!

Got the air horn installed in the Kindred Spirit (aka:the Van), and it sounds great! Just fun to push haha. Big Help and Thanks to Mr.Erik Fleming for his wiring knowledge, definitely wouldn't have been able to figure that out. So now that that's done, onto insulating and sound proofing the interior cuz its just bland in there and the sound of road noise is deafening. So hopefully order the insulation kit next week, and some masonite board, and search for a cool fabric to upholster it with. Stay Tuned!

S&M Dynasty!

Just saw this little write up of Chris Moeller over on ChopCult Motorcycle site. Pretty rad little read so I say give it a check. I know he's done a lot to keep S&M American made and S&M has definitely played a huge part in BMX in my life as well as the industry. I remember my first legit BMX bike was a 1 inch S&M Dirtbike pea green with a Redneck Wedgie Jackson Stem and Slambars, just had to have it so I could have a sweet bike when I went to Woodward in 1997. So yeah S&M is Keepin it Real and going strong!

Motor Rock City!!!

I came across these photos of the Ruins of Detroit and I gotta say they are amazing, crazy to think that places like that are just left forgotten, buildings with great architecture just left to rot away. The photos definitely tell a story. I just now want to go to Detroit and explore these buildings, shoot photos, and see what kind of treasures and souvenirs I can come away with since so much was just left. Come back with a little Detroit and American History. Hopefully someday make it out there. Anyways enjoy these photos.
